Fractional leadership

CEO, COO and Chief Growth Officer support for founders who need an experienced executive alongside them.

When the business needs more from its leadership.

You may be navigating a transition, a restructure or a change in your market. You may have a leadership vacancy, or a team that has taken the business this far and needs support for its next stage.

I step into an executive role, understand the business and its customers, and work with your team to turn priorities into action. Where appropriate, I also help recruit and hand over to a permanent successor.

CEO

Direction and alignment

Clarify the strategy, bring the leadership team together and guide the business through change.

COO

Delivery and operations

Connect the strategy to day-to-day execution, strengthen accountability and support operational scale.

CGO

Customers and growth

Sharpen market positioning, develop sales channels and focus the team on sustainable revenue growth.

How we work together

We begin by discussing the situation, the outcomes you need and the role that would make the greatest difference. The engagement is then shaped around those priorities, with clear responsibilities and a practical working rhythm.

My contribution is hands-on leadership: creating the strategy, gaining buy-in and leading the people responsible for delivering it.

Common questions

Before we start.

How is fractional leadership different from advice?

In a fractional engagement I take an agreed executive role and work with the team on delivery. An advisory engagement focuses on independent guidance and challenge.

Will you replace the founder?

The role depends on the situation. The starting point is to understand what the founder, board and business need, then agree responsibilities. Supporting a founder and managing a leadership transition are different assignments.

Is this only for a business in difficulty?

No. Fractional leadership can support growth, a planned transition or a new stage of development as well as a leadership gap or restructure.

How are scope and fees agreed?

We discuss the challenge, the executive remit and the time required. Scope and commercial terms are agreed for the individual engagement before work begins.
